"I walk through the gate, a weird feeling surrounds me, not knowing what I have gotten myself into.”
Joining Sherwood was one of the best decisions of my life, and I am proud to accept it. I began my journey in Sherwood
at a crucial stage of my life (X-ICSE), totally demoralized by the events of the past, I did not know what was in store for
me for the next one year. Lots of ups and downs which I was aware of, but it was all worth it. The lessons of Charles
Dickens, to skiing in the Himalayas in -15 degrees Celsius, every step and every lesson were carefully planned for the
betterment of us.
Today we stand at the threshold of a new era of technology, global development and awareness, where a student is
handed a post high school coaching book in 10th grade. We tend to forget how important the basics are.
One of the most intriguing things for me in Sherwood which I have carried on till today is the concept of the 5
developments. Emotional, Social, Physical, Spiritual, Intellectual. I was taking a Human Resource class in the business
school that I attend now and I could very clearly relate to what was put forward to me in Sherwood. It was all the same,
just put out in a different way to us. At every level of college that I attend I come across so many things that I have
already been enlightened upon in school which gives me an advantage over others.
My message to the current students would be that go ahead and grab every chance given to you guys, get the best out of
everything school has to offer you. There’s so much that can be done, to be done and should be done.
Even today, as I ponder around school, I hear the sounds of the teachers, office staff, domestic staff, who have put
forward their lives for the prosperity of society and us Kids, who as they say are the future of our country.
“I now walkthrough the gate, a great feeling surrounds me, knowing what a life my alma mater has given me.”
